It’s been a while, hasn’t it? First of all, sorry for the long hiatus. It’s been a busy year, but I’m finally getting back into what I love: putting together daily looks and sharing them both here and over on Instagram.
So I thought, what better way to come back to blogging than with something I’ve always loved doing… a good look for less.
If you’ve been around for a while, you might remember I used to have a blog dedicated to finding Nicole Richie’s outfits for less. It’s something I’ve always genuinely enjoyed, and clearly, that hasn’t changed.
Todays post actually came about while I was doing a bit of online shopping on SHEIN, and I came across this long, bohemian-style lace jacket/top. It instantly caught my eye, it’s very floaty, very effortless, and completely my kind of piece. And for the price, I couldn’t pass it up.
A few days after it arrived, I was scrolling on TikTok (definitely doom scrolling in bed) when I spotted another fashion girlie wearing a top very similar to mine. After quickly checking her comments, I found out hers was the UO Selena Sheer Lace Cascading Ruffle Fluted Sleeve Maxi Top from Urban Outfitters.
But after seeing the price of the Urban Outfitters one, I realised the one I’d just got in the mail is such a good alternative.
This got me thinking could the Urban Outfitters version be a dupe as well? After doing a bit of digging, I came across the Free People Heirloom Maxi Top.
The Free People version retails for $198 (around £188), while the UO Selena Sheer from Urban Outfitters is $129 (around £96).
Both are gorgeous, but definitely more of investment pieces rather than everyday buys.
Mine? Under £30.
I honestly love finding pieces like this, where you can get the same kind of look and feel without spending a fortune. It’s very much my thing, and probably always will be.
