Happy Hump Day everyone!
I know it has been a while since my last post, but I took some time away from social media and blogging. I have been creating a lot of new content for you guys and I can’t wait to share!
The weather in Virginia Beach has been a little bi polar and seems like it can’t make its mind. We had snow, rain, super windy, 65 degree weather you name it. So shooting looks have been a little difficult, of course this look was shot on a windy day.
In todays post I wanted to talk a little about these gorgeous velvet booties I’m rocking…
I’ve been wanting a pair of Stuart Weitzman boots for a few years and I’m always hearing such great things about them. You may remember my post about a great pair of dupes I found from Romwe. Read here.
A few weeks ago, while I was in New York City I stopped in Saks Off Fifth to just ‘look’ around. As usually I headed to my size in the shoe department. I’m normally a 7.5 to 8 depending on the designer. There was nothing really catching my eye in any of my sizes, so I decided to just take a quick peek in the smaller sizes. Since sometimes the sizes are mixed in. Come to my surprise I found these gorgeous velvet mitten boots from Stuart Weitzman for just under $150! I noticed something strange, they looked a little big to be a size 6.5. I decided to try them on, I was in shock when they actually fit me! At that moment I didn’t even hesitate and walked to the register to purchase them.
Sizing ~ A lot of sites say these shoes run true to size, but I would disagree with this statement. For me, these boots are definitely not true to size. My only tip is always try on shoes before you purchase.
Quality ~ Amazing. Obviously. haha! The inside of the boot shaft is lined with a Lycra/Spandex blend that looks like satin. So pretty!
Fit ~ Narrow fit. The velvet (and suede) have some stretch to them. The ankle version is the sister style to the Highlands, which I heard are also narrow. The heel itself is flexible rubber, making it comfy and easy to walk in.
