Maxi dresses can only be worn during spring and summer? Wrong, think again girl! With a little creative styling, maxi dresses can work for fall and winter, too.
Back in July I blogged about this Floral Slit Maxi from Zaful, which I’m obsessed with. A couple weeks later I found out it came in a few different colors and prints. As promised here is the blue version, styled with a cozy sweater and boots!
Below are some tips on how to style a maxi dress during fall and winter:
- Make sure you think practical when styling a maxi dress. It may not be very practical dragging a long skirt through two feet of snow. But if there is maybe a light bit of snow or if you’re staying indoors, then I would definitely go for it!
- I love layering in fall and winter, and this tip is probably the best way to make your maxi more suitable for fall and winter. You can add a sweater, like how I did, or add a cardigan, then a cute moto jacket or coat. You can always add fun accessorizes like beanies, scarves and gloves!
- As it was just very windy and quiet warm my legs weren’t too cold. But for those days when its colder you can always add opaque tights or leggings. Now on to the foot wear, boots are the best way to go! Ankle, knee-high, over the knee, flats or heeled, boots are a practical and always a fashionable choice to pair with your maxi dress in those colder months.
