Olaplex

AD- Bottle of Olaplex kindly gifted by Palos Hair Salon

When I first saw Olaplex I honestly was not convinced at all! It was all over my Instagram’s for you page. I thought that it would be one of those products that claim to work miracles, that everyone preached about but never worked.

I have been a customer of Palos Hair Salon ever since I moved to the UK, honestly, they are the most professional on the Flyde Coast. I did my research and read all the reviews for hairdressers in the area and Palos came out on top. Everyone in the salon is amazing and super friendly. I fully trust each one of them with my hair.

While getting my hair done, I noticed an Olaplex poster hanging up and asked if it worked as I had seen it everywhere and everyone was raving about it.

After chatting for a little bit I was kindly gifted a bottle of the No.3 take home hair perfecter. It comes in a 100ml bottle which doesn’t look a lot, but trust me a small amount goes a long way! Olaplex suggests using the treatment once a week between chemical services to strengthen hair, which I didn’t stick to. I managed to apply it every two weeks, as I don’t wash my hair every day.

You apply the treatment on wet, towel-dried hair and leave for around 15-20 minutes but it does say you can leave it on as long as you wish. I did this once and didn’t see much difference to leaving it on for around 20 minutes! It’s pretty thin when you apply it but you can feel the difference on your hair where it’s just wet and where the treatment has been applied.

After washing the treatment off I washed, conditioned and dried my hair as usual and I was pleasantly surprised. My hair felt much smoother, healthier and looked shiny which it hadn’t for a while! (Before and after photos below).
