Shackets were introduced in 2020, just before lockdown. As you may remember, I immediately fell in love with a shacket dress I saw in Primark in this post. Take a look at the name or Webster’s definition, of a shirt and jacket, and you’ll understand what a shacket is. The material is not as heavy as a jacket or as light as a shirt.
For all seasons, a shacket is an ideal layering piece. I’m still seeing all the different variants of shackets wherever I look. Especially in shops like Primark. I honestly don’t think shackets are going anywhere and we will see more of them in 2023!
You can wear them with leggings, denim, biker shorts, and slip dresses. They’re delightfully cozy. You can choose to go with a neutral tone, or perhaps opt for a bolder plaid, pastel, or extremely bright shade. You will also find plenty of splurge-worthy designer versions or high-street versions in versatile solids or eye-catching prints.
