Old Street

My cruise trip is a little out of order, but I’m totally okay with that! Philipsburg St. Maarten (Dutch side) was our first stop on our cruise. St. Maarten has been an island I have wanted to visit for the longest time.  We ended up taking a private tour via car visiting both sides.

Maho Beach, located at the end of Maho Bay is definitely a must! Even though we were in the car and didn’t end up going on the beach since it was extremely crowded. Maho Beach is famous for being adjacent to the Princess Juliana International Airport. Where you can watch the airplanes come into the airport, they literally fly right over your head! We unfortunately didn’t get a chance to see any planes fly in since we were there during the week. Our tour guide said the best time to come is durning the weekend, and over the summer time. You can also just check the flights and see what time they come in.

I wore once again another new addition to my ever growing House of Harlow 1960 X Revolve collection. The Garnier Romper. Im one for reading reviews when it comes to buying anything. I of course read the reviews and the ladies really weren’t loving this romper. They all said it’s a strange fit and there was too much extra material. I would have to disagree. I absolutely LOVE this romper! Now we can’t always look how it looks on the model due to the fact items are staged for the photo.

As I’m in between sizes in House of Harlow 1960 X Revolve I purchased this romper in an extra-small. True to size, on how you would like it to fit. I could have purchased the small and it would have probably been a little more baggy in the middle, how it looks like on the model.  But the straps are adjustable. If there was a bad thing to say about this piece, I would say it is a little short, Im 5’2 and its see through. Other than that its amazing!

You can shop my exact romper along with some more HOH1960XRevolve rompers all under £100 below:

These photos were taken in Old Street, one of the small alleyways. Known for the 1950s car and the colorful buildings. Old Street was pretty abandoned the day we visited, and has been for a while. I believe there were only 3 shops opened; 2 souvenir shops and a flip flop store. The entire island is still recovering from Hurricane Irma in 2017. You can notice the damage of the car behind me.

Have you ever been to St Maarten or any island in the Caribbean? Let me know in the comments below!
