If you haven’t read the about me section yet, then this may come as a surprise. But..Nicole Richie is my style icon. In 2009, I created Richie Riches for Less; A fashion blog dedicated on getting her look for less. Over the past five years of blogging about her looks for less, I did a few DIY inspired looks. Today, I wanted to share with all of you this custom made jacket with step-by-step instructions.
Please note: This was very time consuming! It takes lots of patience, but it was totally worth it in the end!
The materials you will need to make your very own:
1. A Denim Jacket
2. Fabric Dye (I would use a dark color)
3. Fabric and Fabric Glue
4. Stencils (If you want to design your own logo, Optional)
5. Fabric Paint
6. Studs (Optional)
If your wondering about Nicole’s jacket, she is wearing a custom Levi’s jacket made by Creative Violence.
Instead of a back patch, with was used for Nicole’s jacket I just bought a t-shirt at Target. This is where you can bring out your creative side or personalize it! Add your favorite band, TV shower even your school name!
